Little Hands

The handprints of a little child
Can never be duplicated
They're to remind you to smile a little
When you're tired or agitated
They'll have you remember how good it feels
How positively grand
That the world has a little more meaning
When you're holding a little hand
So with my heart

And all my love
I'm giving these to you
Just to remind you of me
Each day the whole day through

These are my hands

Small as they may be

To touch you and to hold you

My hands God has given me

When I am grown, look to these

Remember how they touched you

Remember how they held you

Remember how tiny they were indeed

These are my tiny hands

That play and touch and feel

Curious to know what it's all about

Wanting to know what's real

Because my hands are much smaller than yours

Please be understanding and kind

For I'm just starting out in the world

Childhood is just for a short time
There will be many moments

When I'll reach up and touch your face

Hoping you will take my hand

And go for a walk someplace

Someday I'll be all grown

But you'll have the memories

And these tiny handprints

To remind you of me

Mommy! Daddy! Did you see

The picture that I drew
On a tiny corner of the wall
I drew it just for you

I have lots of drawings
If you'd like to take a look
I even drew a picture of our family
On a page in one of your favorite books

Last week I learned to finger paint
I've been doing it ever since
And I thought I'd send this present to you
My very own set of handprints

My little handprints on the walls

On the mirrors and in the halls

I'll be grown some day

And all those tiny handprints

Will surely fade away

So here's a special gift

Just so you can recall

Exactly how my hands looked

When I was very small

Once you have a little child of your own, it opens your eyes to the many things in life that come your way and helps you appreciate them so much more then you would normally with each and every day.

Miss Flex

Some friends of mine came over for the weekend with their kids and this little one had gotten tired and without waiting for her parents to put her down went down herself and fast too. ha!
Wish my kids could follow their lead. :) Anyway! I caught the kodac moment.

There was even a tear running from her eye.. So sweet!

I found the answer to my problem

I just discovered that my little one has four teeth coming through.. I thought it might have been some childhood sickness he may have gotten again.. But thankfully I just discovered today that he's got four teeth on the top coming through.. And I'm so happy to know it's that and nothing else.
But man has he been a grouch. And real fussy grouch. It's been a real test of my patients especially at night but thank the lord he's given me the grace. (note to self. Don't ever have a Taurus child boy or girl again.. hehe) Anyway! Please pray for him that those teeth come through so that he can sleep and I can too.

It finally might be! Pray 4 me.

So! Dad and Mom agreed that I can go to WordStock this year. On one condition! That Kaden is weened by then. So ... Lord have mercy!! I have a great task ahead of me, and one month to do it in. But they gave me the go ahead to confirm it. So will see what happens from here.
Which means since there are only so many of us left in the home it will be up to Dad, Mom and the three little "pig's" to care for the littlest piglet. Eek! Not alot of help there. But I know the lord will bless them. And it will give me an opportunity to experience what WordStock is all about. If I do get accepted in the end. I'll just keep my fingers crossed as I don't want to get my hopes up just yet. Pray that I'm able to go this year people. Some need funds to make it there.. Well though I could use that too, I also need your prayers.

Setting the record straight

OK People! I've had this question asked alot now so I thought to lay it out to you. Sorry I didn't do it sooner.
The pictures I have of me in my blog in..."The other side of me"is not my real hair. It is in fact a wig.I know,I know! I should have said something sooner, but I really did like the hair style. And got a lot of comments on how alot of u liked it as well. Only one in fact that I've heard has said something against it... my son Ethan... His words were..." Is that real mom? Cause if its not, take it off, you look scary with it and I don't like it, it makes me want to run and hide from you." I could only laugh, though I knew it couldn't have been that bad, I none the less did have to end the fun, but not before I got some pics in it. Therefore I wanted to to hear what your comments where, and posted them. It is a good hair style though. So will see what happens.

PS: Thank you, for those that did make comments on the hair though. So sweet! :)

Words of Wisdom

Here's my quote for today.
If you judge people, you have no time to love them. -- Mother Teresa

Keep Fighting don't quit!

I was battling with some doubt's and questions in my life, things of the past and things of the future. I feel at times I go through battles only to feel it a vicious cycle of never ending problems and fights. You fight through one battle and think you've accomplished and over come it, but then you feel it creeps upon you again and the battles just don't fade.

I was reading some pretty different life changing stories today. And this one in particular stuck out to me, about never quiting, always keeping the vision and the faith no matter what the obstacle. I thought to share it with you as it may be an encouragement to some of determination and sticking to it and not giving up.

@ <----------------------------------------------------------------------<@
DETERMINATON
In 1883, a creative engineer named John Roebling was inspired by an idea to build a spectacular bridge connecting New York with the Long Island. However bridge building experts throughout the world thought that this was an impossible feat and told Roebling to forget the idea. It just could not be done. It was not practical. It had never been done before.
Roebling could not ignore the vision he had in his mind of this bridge. He thought about it all the time and he knew deep in his heart that it could be done. He just had to share the dream with someone else. After much discussion and persuasion he managed to convince his son Washington, an up and coming engineer, that the bridge in fact could be built.
Working together for the first time, the father and son developed concepts of how it could be accomplished and how the obstacles could be overcome. With great excitement and inspiration, and the headiness of a wild challenge before them, they hired their crew and began to build their dream bridge.
The project started well, but when it was only a few months underway a tragic accident on the site took the life of John Roebling. Washington was injured and left with a certain amount of brain damage, which resulted in him not being able to walk or talk or even move.
"We told them so.""Crazy men and their crazy dreams.""It`s foolish to chase wild visions."
Everyone had a negative comment to make and felt that the project should be scrapped since the Roeblings were the only ones who knew how the bridge could be built. In spite of his handicap Washington was never discouraged and still had a burning desire to complete the bridge and his mind was still as sharp as ever.
He tried to inspire and pass on his enthusiasm to some of his friends, but they were too daunted by the task. As he lay on his bed in his hospital room, with the sunlight streaming through the windows, a gentle breeze blew the flimsy white curtains apart and he was able to see the sky and the tops of the trees outside for just a moment.
It seemed that there was a message for him not to give up. Suddenly an idea hit him. All he could do was move one finger and he decided to make the best use of it. By moving this, he slowly developed a code of communication with his wife.
He touched his wife's arm with that finger, indicating to her that he wanted her to call the engineers again. Then he used the same method of tapping her arm to tell the engineers what to do. It seemed foolish but the project was under way again.
For 13 years Washington tapped out his instructions with his finger on his wife's arm, until the bridge was finally completed. Today the spectacular Brooklyn Bridge stands in all its glory as a tribute to the triumph of one man's indomitable spirit and his determination not to be defeated by circumstances. It is also a tribute to the engineers and their team work, and to their faith in a man who was considered mad by half the world. It stands too as a tangible monument to the love and devotion of his wife who for 13 long years patiently decoded the messages of her husband and told the engineers what to do.
Perhaps this is one of the best examples of a never-say-die attitude that overcomes a terrible physical handicap and achieves an impossible goal.
Often when we face obstacles in our day-to-day life, our hurdles seem very small in comparison to what many others have to face. The Brooklyn Bridge shows us that dreams that seem impossible can be realised with determination and persistence, no matter what the odds are.
Even the most distant dream can be realized with determination and persistence.

It has come to the wire...

We once again say good bye.... To yet another missionary to a field. Yes! It was a sad and grievous parting for us all. We said our good bye's, gave our hugs, held each other long, wished the best of happiness and a wonderful life. And with tears in both parting parties eyes we said good bye to a true and faithful companion and dearest friend. One whom through thick and thin stuck beside us, was there when the need arose, ate the oddest things, and fought beside us bravely.
Our Dear faithful Loving Milo.. You shall be missed my dear friend. Wish you great happiness on your new mission field of Mexico. And fatter rats and mice to fill your belly with. God's speed.

I ask but one favor, that you stay far from the coyotes please.

It's happened...

My child has finally spoken. But no not the sweet endearing words any normal child would say to his parents. No! This child is special in his own way. Likes to be different. No "Mama" or "Dada" that all normal kids say, but of all things to say... It's car/Cara... So OK! He loves his car more then his own mother. But come on, he could of at least put a little endearment in there for the one that bore him.. Like "car mama". Aah! The pains of a mother. Yet I shall take his first words of endearment to his car to my heart. And treasure it always.

Kaden and his and what he calls "Car" :)

A little fun..

This is just for laughs. Something different. So here's some jokes I thought funny. Enjoy!

To the love of my life (whoever you will be), I promise not to EVER say this!! hehe

THE LOVE DRESS
A woman stopped by unannounced at her son's house. She knocked on the door then immediately walked in. She was shocked to see her daughter-in-law laying on the couch, totally naked. Soft music was playing, and the aroma of perfume filled the room. "What are you doing?" she asked. "I'm waiting for Justin to come home from work. "The daughter-in-law answered. "But you're naked!" the mother-in-law exclaimed. "This is my love dress," the daughter-in-law explained. "Love dress? But you're naked!" "Justin loves me to wear this dress," she explained. "Every time he sees me in this dress, he instantly becomes romantic and ravages me for hours". The mother-in-law left. When she got home she undressed, showered, put on her best perfume, dimmed the lights, put on a romantic CD, and laid on the couch waiting for her husband to arrive. Finally, her husband came home.He walked in and saw her laying there so provocatively. "What are you doing?" he asked. "This is my love dress, " she whispered, sensually. "Needs ironing," he said, "What's for dinner?".

******
A woman, standing nude, looks in the bedroom mirror and says to her husband, "I look horrible, I feel fat and ugly. Pay me a compliment". The husband replies, "Your eyesight's damn near perfect". He never heard the shot . .

*******

A biker stops by the local Harley Shop to have his bike fixed. They couldn't do it while he waited, so he said he didn't live far and would just walk home. On the way home he stopped at the hardware shop and bought a bucket and an anvil. He stopped by the feedstore/livestock dealer and picked up a couple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he now had a problem: how to carry all of his purchases home. While he is scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told him she was lost. She asked, "Can you tell me how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane?" The biker said, "Well, as a matter of fact, I live at 1616 Mockingbird Lane. I would walk you home but I can't carry this lot." The old lady suggested, "Why don't you put the anvil in the bucket. Carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken under each arm and carry the goose in your other hand?" "Why thank you very much," he said and proceeded to walk the old girl home. On the way he says "Let's take my short cut and go down this alley. We'll be there in no time." The little old lady looked him over cautiously then said, "I am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me. How do I know that when we get in the alley you won't hold me up against the wall, pull up my skirt, and have your way with me?" The biker said, "Holy smokes lady! I am carrying a bucket, an anvil, two chickens, and a goose. How in the world could I possibly hold you up against the wall and do that?" The lady replied, "Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put the anvil on top of the bucket, and I'll hold the chickens."

Time to...

Say good bye ...

Once again, ones that we love and charish are moving away from our lives. We know they will not be forgotten, but missed deeply.. Rick ,Rosie and Lily... Love you! Going to miss you terribly.
Here are some last moments pictures with Lilianna and her pals... Oh! The memories!!
A touch of the head

a romp in the grass

a moment shared
a friendly splash

a saddened face
a buddy bath
a big boy chat
...these are the things will treasure and much more then that.

Winter has gone...

...Spring is here.
I think its the best time of year.. plants are rebudding, babies being born, old things pasted away, and all is new! Makes you feel alive again. And its such a gorgeous sight.
