Taking a Trip

Leaving to Austin tomorrow. Going to spend the week end with friends. And hopefully dodge the Ike hurricane. Not that I wouldn't mind roughing it out, but when you have kids you think twice. So I'll keep you posted. Keep all the Houston people in your prayers. :)

My cute kidz

I think this is the funniest I just have to share it with you all.
Meal times is usually a hassle in it self for almost all kids. Well at least it is for my oldest as he's as picky as they get. So tonight I made Chicken Adobo, and warmed up some Lentils for those that desired it. So there was the choice between the two. With Kaden you basically just put a plate down in front of him and he's chowing it down. Ethan is another story all together, I have to basically force him to eat each time. Anyway, Kaden had eaten a little earlier as it was past 7 and he was hungry. The other kids came down just a tad later and so I go to make Ethan his plate, a little Rice... Mom-"chicken or Lentils?"...Ethan- "Chicken." Mom-"Ok! And all the kids have to have a little veggie, so I'm going to serve you a little okra, just 2 spoons." Ethan- "Mom do I have to, can I have lettuce instead?" Mom-"No Hunny, cause you do this about every time and you need to just eat what is being served." So the plate is made. And it's eating time. 15 min. later there's still nothing touched from his plate.. Mom- "you better eat or I'm going to have to send you to Grandpa or something. And you need to press in so we can get your brother and you to bed." Ethan-" Mom, do I have to eat it?" Kaden then pops up in the seat next to Ethan. Kaden-" Eat food... I call granpa" Mom- "Yes, eat your food and be a good sample to your little brother.." then kaden did the cutest thing... He picks up Ethan's spoon and says... Kaden-" Me feed you Ethan... Good boy, open." And proceeds from there on to clear the whole plate of food bite by bite into his big brothers mouth. It was so cute yet odd being as it should have been the other way around. But I found my way now of getting my eldest son to eat his food. With his little brothers coxing. :D He was putting those spoon fulls in his mouth so fast that we had to tell him to slow it down some so he could chew his food, but it worked. and with in less the 10 min. everything in that plate was gone.
Then to add to it all.. at the end Kaden made a big scene for Ethan, like we do when a child first starts going pee in the potty. So Kaden goes off... Kaden-" Good boy Ethan, Good boy! Eat all food, Good boy... Yaaaay!! Mommy, Granma, Ethan eat all food. Yaaaaaay! " With that we all had to put our hands together and clap. And thus the
lesson was learned.... If you have an older child that has a hard time eating, send his younger brother in to help him. And you'll be amazed at the results. Valhalla! Empty plate, No whinny kid, meal done in seconds. And a happy little bunch. THE END!

Chicks gone chicky :)

So as things turned out, I went and spent my day off at the other home near by. Thought it was just going to be Shelly and I, but Nicole was in visiting so we all wanted to hang out together for our day off. And man was it a total different kind of day from any I've ever had or can remember ever having. I mean us girls just went girl wild and talked and talked about girl things, did girly things, and just had a whole girly day. From talking about make-up, clothes, food, weight, men (or the lack of :) ) so on so forth. It was strange really at some points, but all in all fun. (When I say strange I mean as in, "wow, I don't ever remember having these kinda topics or having like a whole "seminar" meeting on it as we are doing?")
It was truly funny, odd and yet a total blast. And I was so glad I was there in the company of so many awesome and wonderful females.. Let's see, how many where we? Ummm!!!.. There were Shelly, Nicole, Maria,Clare,Anna, myself, and for some parts Jaz (of Clare) and Nico (of Anna). Which reminds me Sunday night we also went back to the hippy days with Nico and sang all and any songs we remembered from back then. He's such a funny, fun guy. (was really great hanging with you all). Then Monday us girls ,4 of us. Shelly, Nicole, Maria and I had our word time, then went out and walked the mall a little, but our mission for being there was to get some really awesome, great smelling body massaging oil that Shelly had already had for our selves. So we went and got that from Bath and Body shop, and then milled through a few other female stores. And went out and ate at a Chinese buffet. Oh what fun and Joy! :) We came home and then watched a bit of a dumb movie, yet none the less a movie. One of those semi sappy kind. And then that's when we got into all the body creams,make-up ,kids, men and the works, you name it.. we probably cover it. Ha! So that's my wonderful, exciting Day off! Here are pictures we took as well just to start the day with. And some from that night too. enjoy!

(ps: you know who u are... it's only cause I love you! :) )

Day off with my sister Livi and Josh...

So week before last was my day off and Livi was visiting us. So we decided to head out and watch a movie. Josh was next door fixing his house up so we invited him to come along as company, and where we glad he did come. ha! No it was just really nice, he treated us to a Movie and meal out with drinks. And then we walked around the woodlands mall area and took some photos. Sadly the camera didn't work all that well. But we still got some good shots of which I will post for you all. It was alot of fun.. We also tried to make a frog turn prince charming. Sad that it's just in fairy tails that it works. Ha!
We watched that movie with Ben Stiller, it was funny. And then we went t Chili's for Dinner. It was nice to just relax like that with other people. Thank God for days off, and people around to take them with. :) Love ya sis, was good having you here again.

It happens only in INDIA...TOP RATED

I thought this was a funny little thing. For any of you men that want to make sure your wives stay permanent. hehe!

Seeing through the eyes of a Child...

*In every real man a child is hidden that wants to play. ~Friedrich Nietzsche*A grownup is a child with layers on. ~Woody Harrelson* We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today. ~Stacia Tauscher*A characteristic of the normal child is he doesn't act that way very often. ~Author Unknown

*
While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.

~Angela Schwindt* Women gather together to wear silly hats, eat dainty food, and forget how unresponsive their husbands are. Men gather to talk sports, eat heavy food, and forget how demanding their wives are. Only where children gather is there any real chance of fun. ~Mignon McLaughlin, The Neurotic's Notebook, 1960

2nd Year & Counting

So my baby turned 2
May 7th, he's changing so much. I'm watching the baby turning into a man and just know I'm going to miss it. But he's the cutest and keeps me on my toes. Gotta' love him!
But here are the pics from his birthday. We had a little party at the Park and invited all his friends and little guys. I don't think he totally realized it was for his birthday, cause to him in his mind it was a place to play and have fun. But he enjoyed himself.
